Bones of the Lower Arm, Wrist and Hand
Do Now:
Today in class we discussed
Structures and functions of the Radius: head, radial tuberosity, and styloid process
Structures and functions of the Ulna: trochlear notch, coronoid process, olecranon process, styoid process
Structures and functions of the Wrist and Hand: Carpals, Metacarpals, Phalanges
Worked on skeletal system lab
Homework:
Do any prelab work on skeletal labs at home and be prepared to look at the bones and quiz in class
1. The _________ of the humerus articulates with the _______ of the scapula.
2. The ulna is received by the ________ of the humerus when the arm is bent and the _________ when the arm is straight.
3. The three parts of the sternum from superior to inferior are ____________, __________, and __________
4. The radius rotates around the __________ of the humerus and the ulna rotates around the _________ of the humerus.

Bones of the Face
Do Now: Name the four major bones of the cranium, their sutures, the bones they articulate with and include the anatomical direction
Today in class we discussed the major bones of the face, their features and their functions. Included in this discussion was the Maxillae, Zygomatic bone, Nasal bones, Lacrimal bones, Vomer bone, and the Mandible.
Worked on skeletal labs - you should have quizzed out of the first lab today, if not you are behind and need to get going.
